The MDACEP Leadership & Advocacy Fellowship is designed to develop future emergency medicine leaders. The fellowship combines elements of mentoring with skills in organization, education, advocacy, and involvement. Applications are open for the 2026-2027 fellowship and will close March 30, 2026.

• Utilize the Fellowship travel stipend to attend MDACEP events in person whenever possible. • Attend at least three MDACEP Board of Directors meetings (primarily via Zoom). • Participate in the MDACEP Legislative Committee. • Attend the MDACEP Legislative Reception in Annapolis (January). • Represent MDACEP at the ACEP Leadership & Advocacy Conference (late April/early May; approximately 3 days). • Serve as an Alternate Councillor at the ACEP Council Meeting during ACEP’s annual conference. • Author two articles for EMinMD (the MDACEP newsletter) to promote future Leadership Fellowship opportunities and encourage chapter engagement.
