Award Description & Criteria
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) of the Year Presented to an APP who has made significant contributions to emergency medicine, provides excellent clinical care, and collaborates effectively with colleagues, consultants, and admitting services.
Chairman of the Year Awarded to a Chairman who fosters collaboration with nursing and ancillary departments, implements operational and clinical improvements based on evidence-based practices, and contributes significantly to departmental excellence.
Clinician of the Year Recognizes a clinician who exemplifies excellence in patient care, including technical skill, compassion for patients and families, teamwork, and patient advocacy.
Emergency Nurse of the Year Honors a nurse who goes above and beyond for patients, families, and colleagues, delivering high-quality clinical care and a compassionate patient experience.
EMS Physician of the Year Given to a College member who demonstrates clinical expertise, leadership, and makes notable contributions to the field of emergency medical services.
Legislator of the Year Presented to a legislator who shows extraordinary leadership in advancing policies that improve emergency medicine, patient care, or workplace safety.
Physician of the Year Recognizes a physician who maintains high standards in emergency medicine, is respected as a role model, and provides exceptional service to Maryland ACEP and the profession.
Resident of the Year Honors a resident who demonstrates altruism, clinical promise, leadership, and a deep commitment to patient-centered emergency care.
